| was born on Aug. 18, 1958, in Huntsville, AL, Cathey preformed in a number of Broadway and off-Broadway productions in the early 1980’s. An accomplished Shakespearean actor, Cathey landed prominent roles in The Taming of the Shrew, Richard III, Hamlet, and The Merchant of Venice before moving to Los Angeles to pursue work in film and television. Cathey’s first major screen debut was in 1985, Spenser: For Hire. More guest-starring roles followed on such shows as Star Trek: The Next Generation, Arli$$ and Third Watch. Parlaying his quick television success into feature work, Cathey copped several small parts in a string of high-profile movies in the nineties, among them – The Mask in 1994, Clear and Present Danger in 1994, Tank Girl in 1995 and the gruesome thriller, Se7en in 1995. In 2000 Cathey worked on the telefilm, Homicide: The Movie, He worked with The Wire creator David Simon on the emmy award-winning mini-series The Corner and was cast in the groundbreaking prison drama, Oz. Cathey cameoed role in the mercilessly unfunny comedy, “Pootie Tang” in 2001. The Wire’s fourth season opener, entitled “Boys of Summer,” Cathey tackled the recurring role of Norman Wilson. |

| was born in Berkeley, California and raised in Washington, D.C., Dellums first won acclaim for his performance as the sinister Luther Mahoney on NBC’s Homicide: Life on the Streets -- which USA Today called “one of the best villains on TV” and Entertainment Weekly listed as “one of 1997's great performances.” He co-starred as Bayard Rustin in HBO’s lauded film Boycott and narrated the award-winning documentary, Brother Undercover. Other credits include the films, Dr. Dolittle, SWAT, Blackmale, She’s Gotta Have It, School Daze and The Doors, and television’s NYPD Blue, JAG, Walker:Texas Ranger, New York Undercover and the Disney Channel’s Emmy and Writers’ Guild and Directors Guild Award-winning film, The Color of Friendship, which is based upon his own family. He currently has a recurring role on HBO’s The Wire and will soon be seen in the independent films, Camp D.O.A. and Bellclaire Times. |
